The Why:  We need more excuses to meet new people

22-30 year-olds don't have it easy when it comes to making friends in a new city. With remote work, phones (hate to sound like your mom), and the joy of staying in your cozy apartment -- Opportunities to meet new people in your community are few and far between.

The issue: Making friends as an adult shouldn't be this hard

After graduating college in 2021, I found myself sticking to the same friends, same routines, same restaurants, and same comfort zone. I felt stuck in the motions of life without much excitement or new experiences to be had. I begun to think maybe this was just what being an adult felt like.

I was relieved to know I was not alone in this feeling, after consulting with my trusted home friends. Almost everyone feels alone in their 20's and 30's. Especially living in a city where it can feel like everyone around you went ahead and made friends without you.

After extensive researching of cool events near me (that weren't centered around dating) I saw a missed opportunity for being able to build genuine connections with people. I felt like there had to be another way to meet new people in my city without having to go out to the bars every weekend--and that is where Meet & Mangia started. A way to meet people without the pressure of dating or one-on-one interactions -- We provide the platform, and a comfortable atmosphere with warm lighting, and warm food, and you get to experience an easy way to make new connections in your neighborhood.

The solution: Sign up for dinner reservations with Meet & Mangia to meet new people and try really good restaurants in my neighborhood

Whether you're socially anxious (like me) or an introvert at heart (also me), Meet & Mangia provides a pressure-free environment to talk with others and enjoy a meal with the people in your city. I don't think putting yourself out there to socialize is in any way easy, but I have found it is always worth it in the end.

We hope to see you at a table soon!
